First Wellington Meeting - Feedback

Four members met at the Zoo Cafe on Saturday the 17th of May for the first official, yet informal, meeting of the Wellington HSP Group.  The weather was superb and we sat outside and chatted intently over coffee and hot chocolate.  After a while though, cigarette smoke from the neighbouring patrons became rather intrusive and the suggestion was made to continue our discussions while walking in the neaby park areas.  This proved highly popular and the time flew by.  Main topics of discussion covered psychology, personality types, assertiveness and coping strategies and books and the recommendation of the addition of a "suggested reading" page to the website (a work in progress).  Though the group was small, it was definitely a successful and enjoyable morning and the next get-together is being planned for June.  New members are always welcome - contact ask@nzahspnetwork.com for more information.

Be Inspired and Inspire Others!

We welcome anything you might like to share that celebrates what it is to be sensitive. We can become so overwhelmed with daily life and frustrated by the limitations our trait imposes on us that we can forget that our trait is also a gift. It gives us empathy, the ability to experience things on a deeper level and in noticing subtle details we can see beauty in simple things that others may overlook. So if you have any words of inspiration, poems or experiences you may like to share please feel free to email them to us and we will post them on this page.

NOTE: If you are sending in a piece that is not your own work, please be sure to include the author's name.
